Seminar: Wavelet-Based Mapping
Title: Wavelet-Based Mapping of Renal Cortex Perfusion: Synchronization Revealed from Laser Speckle Imaging
Speakers: Niels-Henrik Holstein-Rathlou and Alexey Brazhe.
Abstract: Full-field speckle technique provides means of real-time imaging of superficial blood perfusion. We suggest to use wavelet-based mapping of instantaneous frequency and phase for each pixel of an image to identify different synchronous patterns. We use the kidney to demonstrate the possibility to reveal frequency and phase entrainments in the form of waves and transient clusters to determine an extent of synchronization in renal cortex dynamics.
